As part of our commitment to continue helping to uplift the communities in which we work, live and trade, we donated over 500 units of clothing to an organization called The Street Store for use in a give-aways to impoverished and homeless people. The Street Store organisation sets up pop-up stores for homeless people to ‘shop’ at with the main difference from a normal retail store being that everything is free. The homeless shoppers are able to pick the items that they want to take and try the products on to make sure that they are a good fit. They are also provided with coffee, a free meal and other essential items.
Our donation was used at a pop up store set up at the Claremont Civic Centre in Cape Town on the 19th of August 2016. The event was a great success with many satisfied and happy shoppers finding great clothing and other products to assist in improving thier quality of life.
